Coronavirus: Georgia reports 557 new cases, 21,890 tests conducted

Georgia has reported 557 new cases of coronavirus, 638 recoveries and 10 deaths in the past 24 hours. 

4,787 individuals remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia as of today.

21,890 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours around the country. 

13,380 of the 21,890 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 8,510 were PCR tests. 

Georgia has had 264,158 cases of coronavirus since February 2020.

256,024 of the 264,158  individuals have recovered, while 3,321 others have died.

The new 557 cases were recorded in: 

  • Tbilisi - 209 cases 
  • Adjara - 21 cases 
  • Imereti - 113 cases 
  • Kvemo Kartli - 43 cases 
  • Shida Kartli - 63 cases 
  • Guria - 33 cases 
  • Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 24 cases 
  • Kakheti - 33 cases 
  • Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 7 cases 
  • Samtskhe-Javakheti - 10 cases 
  • Racha-Lechkhumi, Kvemo Svaneti - 1 case

2,083 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. 456 of the 2,083 patients are in critical condition. 129 of the 456 critical patients are on artificial ventilation. 

More than 2,382,000 tests have been conducted in Georgia so far.

12,886 individuals are in self-isolation.
