The State Regulation Agency of Medical Activities has found an illegal Covid-testing laboratory on Agmashenebeli Avenue in Tbilisi.
The agency noted that the Covid-testing laboratory was located in a jewelry store and was operated without the permission of the agency.
Basically, such institutions take samples and send them to laboratories, but it is also necessary for the institution to notify the agency regarding its activity and to comply with technical regulations for high-risk medical activities… A report on an administrative violation was drawn up against the institution by the regulatory agency and was sent to court for further response”, said the agency.
The agency says that similar cases have been reported in Rustavi and Batumi.
