The United Airports of Georgia reports that in October 2021 passenger traffic at Kutaisi International Airport was restored by 48% compared to the same period of 2019. In October 2021, Kutaisi International Airport served 42,777 passengers (October 2019 –89,647 passengers).
65% of flights were resumed at Kutaisi International Airport in October 2021 (195 flights). A total of 298 flights were launched in October 2019.
The United Airports of Georgia reports that as of today three airlines are operating direct flights to 22 destinations from Kutaisi International Airport, including four to Kazakhstan and 18 to Europe.
Starting October 31, Hungarian low-cost airline WizzAir has resumed direct flights from Kutaisi to Barcelona, Vienna and Berlin, while starting December 15, regular direct flights will be launched to Abu Dhabi,” said the General Director of the United Airports of Georgia, Tamar Archuadze.
There will be 119 regular flights from Kutaisi International Airport to Europe and 28 regular flights to Asia in November.
