Azerbaijani low-cost Buta Airways will start to operate a Baku-Tbilisi-Baku flight three times a week starting in mid-March, Economy Minister Natia Turnava said earlier today.
Other low-cost companies which will start operating flights in Georgia from mid-March are Kazakh air carriers Air Astana and FlyArystan.
Turnava said that Hungarian low-cost Wizz Air will resume flights from Kutaisi International Airport starting at the end of March and will operate flights to 20 destinations.
From the end of March, a new airline, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi will start operating flights from Kutaisi to Abu Dahabi twice a week”, said Turnava.
Turnava also said that after lifting flight restrictions, some airlines have increased the frequency of flights. For example, Turkish Airlines, which currently operates two flights daily.
Pegasus Airlines operated only twice a week, though currently flies daily. Qatar Airways will operate regular passenger flights four times a week. There will be up to 70 regular flights a week during March,” said Turnava.

Qatar Airways, the state-owned flag carrier of Qatar, will operate daily flights between Doha and Tbilisi, reports local media outlet interpressnews (IPN).
Pegasus Airlines will resume flights to Georgia from February 11, says the United Airports of Georgia. The company will offer daily flights to passengers between Tbilisi and Istanbul.

When coming to Georgia foreign visitors must present at the border a document that proves that he/she underwent a complete course of coronavirus vaccination. Citizens of all foreign countries who are vaccinated will be able to enter Georgia.

The United Airports of Georgia reports that in October 2021 passenger traffic at Kutaisi International Airport was restored by 48% compared to the same period of 2019. In October 2021, Kutaisi International Airport served 42,777 passengers (October 2019 –89,647 passengers).
