Covid-19 in Georgia: 3,436 new cases, 4,483 recoveries, 43 deaths

Georgia has reported 3,436 new cases of Covid-19 after conducting a total of 32,011 tests over the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, 4,483 individuals have recovered and 43 patients have died.
Out of the new 3,436 new cases were reported in:

- Kvemo Kartli - 221

- Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 8

Yesterday Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili again called on the Georgian citizens to get vaccinated to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
The Head of Georgia's National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) Amiran Gamkrelidze has meanwhile said that 99 per cent of individuals who have died from Covid-19 in Georgia were not vaccinated.
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili has once again called on citizens to get vaccinated. Irakli Garibashvili spoke with journalists in the western Georgian town of Baghdati, Imereti region, where he was holding meetings with the party supporters ahead of the October 30 municipal run-offs.
Georgia has reported a total of 4,467 new cases of Covid-19 after conducting 21,436 PCR tests and 31,051 rapid tests over the last 24 hours. The number of active cases stands at 52,601.
Ninety-nine per cent of individuals who have died from Covid-19 in Georgia were not vaccinated, Head of Georgia's National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) Amiran Gamkrelidze said. “This is a life-and-death battle with an invisible enemy. Vaccination is our main weapon, which will lead to eventual victory", he said.
A total of 63 kindergartens have closed in the Georgian capital city of Tbilisi since reopening on October 4 due to soaring coronavirus cases, news agency Interpressnews (IPN) reports.
Georgia has reported 1,942 new cases of coronavirus, 4,650 recoveries and 46 deaths in the past 24 hours. 48,757 remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia.22,847 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 13,643 of the 22,847 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 9,204 were PCR tests. The country has had 694,182 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020. 9.05 per cent of tested individuals had Covid-19 in the past 14 days.
