55 kindergartens out of 189 closed temporarily in Tbilisi due to confirmed Covid-19 cases

In total 55 kindergartens out of total 189 have closed temporarily in the Georgian capital city Tbilisi due to confirmed Covid-19 cases, announces the Kindergarten Management Agency of Tbilisi.

All closed kindergartens will resume operations once the quarantine period of 12 days expires. 

Kindergartens as well as schools resumed in-person studies across Georgia on October 4.

Just three days after public and private kindergartens resumed operations across Georgia, 14 of them closed due to coronavirus on October 7 in Tbilisi.

Georgia has reported 1,530 new cases of coronavirus, 1,848 recoveries and 23 deaths in the past 24 hours. The positivity rate has gone up to  8.64% of tested individuals for Covid-19 as of October 10 in comparison to 6.25% in the last two weeks.
