Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air will resume regular flights from Kutaisi International Airport to Krakow starting September 28.
Wizz Air will operate flights between Krakow and Kutaisi twice a week.
In total, Wizz Air will operate flights to 14 destinations in nine countries 24 times a week.
Since the resumption of regular flights, Wizz Air has transported over 80,000 passengers from Kutaisi International Airport. We [the United Airports of Georgia] expect that our strategic partner [Wizz Air] will resume flights from Georgia to the most demanded destinations of the European Union countries’, said Head of Georgian United Airports Tamar Archuadze.
Krakow is the fifth city in Poland to where Wizz Air will operate flights from Kutaisi International Airport. Until now passengers were able to fly from Kutaisi to four cities of Poland – Warsaw, Gdansk, Wroclaw and Katowice.
Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air will resume flights to six new destinations from Georgia’s western Kutaisi International Airport starting July 1 after an eleven-month pause.
Wizz Air may restore its base in Kutaisi in spring 2021, Economy Minister Natia Turnava said earlier today, noting that aviation companies are assessing the prospect of restoring flights to Georgia in the future, although this will happen gradually.

New and restored flights from Georgian western Kutaisi airport
Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, a joint venture between the Hungarian budget airline Wizz Air and Abu Dhabi state holding company ADQ, will begin operations at the western Georgian Kutaisi International Airport and will offer Abu Dhabi-Kutaisi flights two times a week starting December 16. In addition, this winter Wizz Air will restore flights to Barcelona (Spain), Berlin (Germany) and Vienna (Austria) from Kutaisi airport.
