Alleged triple Covid-19 case in Georgia not officially confirmed

It has not been laboratory confirmed that an individual in Georgia has contracted Covid-19 three times, Head of Infectious Diseases and AIDS Centre Tengiz Tsertsvadze stated earlier today, following earlier reports to the effect.
Doctor Revaz Mechurchlishvili said yesterday that his patient allegedly contracted Covid-19 three times.
We have several cases of an individual having contracted the virus twice. However, the Lugar Lab has not yet confirmed that this individual contracted it thrice,” Tsertsvadze said.
Georgia has reported 4,743 new cases of coronavirus,3,393 recoveries and 59 deaths earlier today.
More than 57,000 individuals remain infected mostly with the Delta variant of coronavirus in Georgia.
Coronavirus cases began to surge in Georgia starting July.
The government was forced to return several restrictions, including mandatory wearing of facemasks both indoors and outdoors.
Public transport has been stopped and large events were prohibited in the country including September 3.

Wearing of facemasks outdoors has become mandatory in Georgia starting today as coronavirus cases continue to surge in the country, hitting 6,208 daily infections today. Now individuals will have to wear facemasks both indoors and outdoors. Georgia lifted the regulation of wearing facemasks outdoors in June 2021.However, wearing facemasks outdoors where at least five people have gathered became mandatory again starting early August because the coronavirus cases began to surge in Georgia starting July 2021.
Georgia has reported 2,676 new cases of coronavirus, 4,119 recoveries and 30 deaths in the past 24 hours. 52,141 remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia currently.25,730 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 13,637 of the 25,730 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 12,093 were PCR tests. The country has had 484,254 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020.
Starting today three-week coronavirus restrictions come into play in Georgia to curb the spread of coronavirus. Public transport will not work in all main cities of Georgia from today to September 4, however intercity transport will work in a regular manner.
A field hospital for 500 coronavirus patients in the Didi Digomi district of Tbilisi has received its first nine patients and will work in full capacity starting today, Georgian Deputy Health Minister Tamar Gabunia announced.

Georgia has reported 74 coronavirus deaths in the past 24 hours which is a record high figure since the country confirmed its first case of Covid-19 at the end of February 2020. 6,723 individuals have died from the virus in Georgia so far. The country has reported 4,901 new cases of 46,595 tests and 2,586 recoveries in the past 24 hours. Most of the new cases were reported in the capital Tbilisi, Adjara and Imereti regions.
Georgia has reported 3,803 new cases of coronavirus, 3,332 recoveries and 48 deaths in the past 24 hours.
Ten per cent of Georgia’s adult population have been fully vaccinated as of August 21.
