The Emergency Management Service received up to 40 messages due to the heavy rain. Rescue teams were deployed at various locations throughout the night.
Information about the exact extent of the damage is not known yet.
Matchavariani Street and the nearby slopes in Tbilisi have been put on a landslide alert after a fissure appeared on slopes earlier this month. Deputy Mayor of Tbilisi Irakli Bendeliani says that the situation is being monitored and German geoengineers will also help to solve the problem next week.

Vice Mayor of Tbilisi Irakli Bendeliani said that as a result of the accident, the probable cause of which is construction in the area, no one was injured.
