Coronavirus: 1,026 new cases of 33,002 tests in past 24 hours

Georgia has reported 1,026 new cases of Covid-19 after conducting a total of 33,002 tests over the last 24 hours.

Out of the 1,026 new cases 633 were reported in Tbilisi.

Other cases were reported in:

Kvemo Kartli - 52
Shida Kartli - 44
Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 44
Adjara - 38
Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 15
Samtskhe-Javakheti - 7

Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 2

Meanwhile, 381 individuals have recovered and 12 patients have died.

As of now Georgia has confirmed a total of 369,048 cases of Covid-19 since last February, including 353,612 recoveries, 5,347 deaths and 10,063 active cases.

Georgia’s curfew regulations, which have been in force from 23:00 to 04:00 for seven months, have been lifted in Georgia on July 1.

Wearing a face mask in outdoor spaces is no longer mandatory, while the restriction remains in force in gathering places such as bus stops, in public transport and indoor spaces.

In total, 25,606 tests have been conducted around the country of which 15,693 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 9,913 were PCR tests. Since February 26, 2020 Georgia has had 371,293 cases of coronavirus, 355,718 recoveries and 5,383 deaths.
