Georgia reports 585 new cases of 22,073 tests over last 24 hours

Georgia has reported 585 new cases of Covid-19 after conducting 12,101 PCR and 9,972 rapid tests over the last 24 hours.
Out of the 585 new cases 370 were reported in Tbilisi.
Other cases were reported in:

- Adjara - 39
- Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 23
- Kakheti - 23
- Samtskhe-Javakheti - 12
- Shida Kartli - 8
- Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 2
Meanwhile, 953 individuals have recovered from Covid-19 and 11 patients have died.
Georgia has confirmed a total of 363,522 cases of the coronavirus since February, 2020, including 349,658 recoveries and 5,266 deaths. The number of active cases of Covid-19 now stands at 8,572.
Georgia has reported 754 new cases of Covid-19 after conducting a total of 35,928 tests over the last 24 hours. Out of the 754 new cases 435 were reported in Tbilisi.
Georgia has confirmed 20 cases of the Delta Covid-19 variant, Head of the National Disease Control Center (NCDC) Amiran Gamkrelidze says. Gamkrelidze also said that up to 15-20% of people in Georgia are being infected with this particular strain.
The Parliament of Georgia has extended the right of the government of Georgia to impose Covid-19 restrictions until January 1, 2022. In total 78 members of the parliament voted in favour and 22 against the extension in the 150-member parliament.
Municipal buses and Tbilisi Metro will serve passengers from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m starting July 1, reports the press office of Tbilisi City Hall.
14,074 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 6,102 of the 14,074 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 7,972 were PCR tests. The country has had 363,874 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020. 2.47 per cent of tested individuals had Covid-19 in the past 14 days.350,466 of the 363,874 patients have recovered, while 5,275 have died from the virus.
29,709 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 18,220 of the 29,709 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 11,489 were PCR tests. The country has had 365,068 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020. 2.5 per cent of tested individuals had Covid-19 in the past 14 days.351,144 of the 365,068 patients have recovered, while 5,297 have died from the virus.
