Georgia reports 1,194 new cases of coronavirus, 678 recoveries, 22 deaths

Georgia has reported 1,194 new cases of coronavirus, 678 recoveries and 22 deaths in the past 24 hours.
29,709 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 18,220 of the 29,709 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 11,489 were PCR tests.
The country has had 365,068 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020.
2.5 per cent of tested individuals had Covid-19 in the past 14 days.
351,144 of the 365,068 patients have recovered, while 5,297 have died from the virus.

Currently 8,601 individuals remain infected with Covid-19.
The new 1,194 cases were recorded in:
- Tbilisi - 749 cases
- Adjara - 41 cases
- Imereti - 122 cases
- Kvemo Kartli - 102 cases
- Shida Kartli - 29 cases
- Guria -1 case
- Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 44 cases
- Kakheti - 71 cases
- Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 20 cases
- Samtskhe-Javakheti - 8 cases
- Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 7 cases

2,639 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. 594 of the 2,639 patients are in critical condition. 158 of the 594 critical patients are on artificial ventilation.
7,041 individuals are in self-isolation.
More than 5,787,000 tests have been conducted in the country so far.
Georgia will receive one million doses of Sinopharm and Sinovac Covid-19 vaccines by the end of the week, Georgian Health Minister Ekaterine Tikaradze has stated earlier today.
14,074 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 6,102 of the 14,074 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 7,972 were PCR tests. Georgia has reported 585 new cases of Covid-19 after conducting 12,101 PCR and 9,972 rapid tests over the last 24 hours. Out of the 585 new cases 370 were reported in Tbilisi.
Georgia is lifting several coronavirus restrictions following today's meeting of the Interagency Coordination Council, announces the government of Georgia. Starting today, wearing a face mask in outdoor space will no longer be mandatory, while the restriction remains in force in gathering places such as bus stops, public transport and indoor spaces.

Georgian citizens who have proof of vaccination or a certificate proving they have recovered from Covid-19 will be able to enter Austria for touristic purposes starting July 1, 2021.
30,579 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 15,598 of the 30,579 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 14,981 were PCR tests.
