Poland hosts Georgian wine tasting event

A Georgian wine tasting event has been held in the historical settlement of Srebrna Gora near the city of Krakow, Poland.

Contractor company of the Georgian National Wine Agency in Poland, Malinova, organised the event, which was held as part of an active marketing campaign in Poland, announces the Georgian National Wine Agency.

The event showcased Georgian wines made by classical as well as traditional winemaking methods.

The event was attended by 70 guests which included wine professionals, restaurant owners, sommeliers, wine trade and media representatives. 

In 2020, more than 5 million bottles of Georgian wine were exported to Poland which was 30% more compared to 2019.

In the first five months of this year, Georgia exported more than 2.2 million bottles of wine, which saw an increase of 11% year-on-year.
