Georgia reports 656 new cases of coronavirus of 30,469 tests

Georgia has reported 656 new cases of coronavirus, 861 recoveries and 17 deaths in the past 24 hours.
30,469 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 15,944 of the 30,469 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 14,525 were PCR tests.
The country has had 361,484 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020.
2.43 per cent of tested individuals had Covid-19 in the past 14 days.
347,653 of the 361,484 patients have recovered, while 5,228 have died from the virus.
Currently 8,577 individuals remain infected with Covid-19.

The new 656 cases were recorded in:
- Tbilisi - 368 cases
- Adjara - 48 cases
- Imereti - 55 cases
- Kvemo Kartli - 52 cases
- Shida Kartli - 22 cases
- Guria -8 cases
- Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 37 cases
- Kakheti - 49 cases
- Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 7 cases
- Samtskhe-Javakheti - 9 cases
- Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 1 case

2,612 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. 674 of the 2,612 patients are in critical condition. 166 of the 674 critical patients are on artificial ventilation.
8,187 individuals are in self-isolation.
More than 5,652,000 tests have been conducted in the country so far.
The Parliament of Georgia has extended the right of the government of Georgia to impose Covid-19 restrictions until January 1, 2022. In total 78 members of the parliament voted in favour and 22 against the extension in the 150-member parliament.

Georgia is lifting several coronavirus restrictions following today's meeting of the Interagency Coordination Council, announces the government of Georgia. Starting today, wearing a face mask in outdoor space will no longer be mandatory, while the restriction remains in force in gathering places such as bus stops, public transport and indoor spaces.
Georgia has reported 914 new cases of coronavirus, 635 recoveries and 24 deaths in the past 24 hours. In total, 27,956 tests have been conducted around the country of which 18,953 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 9,003 were PCR tests. Since February 26, 2020 Georgia has had 360,055 cases of coronavirus, 346,217 recoveries and 5,199 deaths.
Unpaid fines with a total value of 76 million GEL (about 24.09m/€20.16m) will be written off for 245,000 Georgian citizens and 344 legal entities for not wearing facemasks and staying out of isolation or quarantine, announces Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili. He added that the bill to write off the fines was sent to the parliament today and will be approved 'in the shortest period of time'.
