Georgia reports 307 new cases of coronavirus, 1,014 recoveries, 24 deaths

Georgia has reported 307 new cases of coronavirus, 1,014 recoveries and 24 deaths in the past 24 hours.
11,117 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 5,477 of the 11,117 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 5,640 were PCR tests.
The country has had 349,405 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020.
2.88 per cent of tested individuals had Covid-19 in the past 14 days.
334,519 of the 349,405 patients have recovered, while 4,934 have died from the virus.

The new 307 cases were recorded in:
- Tbilisi - 174 cases
- Adjara - 31 cases
- Imereti - 21 cases
- Kvemo Kartli - 20 cases
- Shida Kartli - 3 cases
- Guria - 3 cases
- Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 28 cases
- Kakheti - 14 cases
- Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 7 cases
- Samtskhe-Javakheti - 4 cases
- Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 2 cases

3,428 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. 752 of the 3,428 patients are in critical condition. 202 of the 752 critical patients are on artificial ventilation.
16, 462 individuals are in self-isolation.
Vaccination with Pfizer will be allowed in four clinics of Tbilisi: Republican Hospital, Bokeria clinic, Caucasus Medical Centre and Amtel hospital, in two clinics of Kutaisi and in Batumi Republican Hospital in the Adjara region. Individuals receiving either the AstraZeneca or Pfizer vaccines against Covid-19 will have to stay at clinics for 45 minutes, instead of 30 minutes to be observed if there are any adverse effects.
Georgia has reported 504 new cases of Covid-19,1,201 recoveries and 17 deaths over the last 24 hours. The new cases have been confirmed after conducting a total of 18,288 tests, which included 9,783 PCR tests and 8,505 rapid tests.
Head of Georgia’s National Centre for Disease Control Amiran Gamkrelidze said Georgia will receive 700 thousand doses of Novavax and up to 130 thousand doses of Johnson &Johnson Covid-19 vaccines in the third quarter of 2021 via the Covax platform.
The Georgian government is negotiating with Covid-19 vaccine manufacturers and is going to import an additional one million doses of Pfizer in June or July, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said today.
Georgia has reported 1,023 new cases of coronavirus, 510 recoveries and 17 deaths in the past 24 hours. 29,517 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 21,585 of the 29,517 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 7,932 were PCR tests. The country has had 350,428 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020. 2.81 per cent of tested individuals had Covid-19 in the past 14 days.
Georgia has reported 821 new cases of coronavirus, 866 recoveries and 31 deaths in the past 24 hours. 38,478 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 23,864 of the 38,478 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 14,614 were PCR tests. The country has had 351,249 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020. 2.77 per cent of tested individuals had Covid-19 in the past 14 days.
