Georgia reports 509 new cases of coronavirus of 7,476 tests

Georgia has reported 509 new cases of coronavirus, 1,200 recoveries and 12 deaths in the past 24 hours. 

7,476 tests have been conducted around the country on the weekend. 3,111 of the 7,476 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 4,365 were PCR tests. 

The country has had 312,954 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020. 

five per cent of tested individuals had Covid-19 in the past 14 days.

294,252 of the 312,954 patients have recovered, while 4,163 have died from the virus.

Currently 14,513 individuals remain infected with Covid-19. 

The new 509 cases were recorded in: 

• Tbilisi - 321 cases 
• Adjara - 68 cases 
• Imereti - 15 cases
• Kvemo Kartli - 15 cases 
• Shida Kartli - 4 cases 
• Guria - 3 cases 
• Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 38 cases 
• Kakheti - 24 cases
• Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 14 cases
• Samtskhe-Javakheti - 5 cases
• Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 2 cases

4,114 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. 801 of the 4,114 patients are in critical condition. 151 of the 801 critical patients are on artificial ventilation.

33,612 individuals are in self-isolation. 

More than 4,225,000 tests have been conducted in the country so far.
