Coronavirus: 966 new cases, 1,222 recoveries, 18 deaths

Georgia has reported 966 new cases of coronavirus, 1,222 recoveries and 18 deaths over the last 24 hours.

Out of the new cases 567 were reported in Tbilisi, 117 - in Adjara, 77 - in Imereti, 73 - in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti,42 - in Kakheti, 30 - in Kvemo Kartli, 21 - in Shida Kartli, 17 - in Mtskheta-Mtianeti, 15 - in Guria, 7 - in Samtskhe-Javakheti.

Health official: UK coronavirus variant is now dominant strain in Georgia

As of now the number of total confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Georgia stands at 303,751, including 285,971 recoveries, 4,025 deaths and 13, 729 active cases.

Health officials call on all eligible citizens to receive their respective vaccines to curb the further spread of the coronavirus.

Georgia has reported a total of 1,250 new cases of Covid-19 after conducting 31,958 tests over the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, 463 patients have recovered from the coronavirus and 15 individuals have died. The number of active cases now stands at 14,003.

Georgia has reported 1,271 new cases of coronavirus, 729 recoveries and 11 deaths in the past 24 hours. 28,751 tests have been conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 14,187 of the 28,751 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 14,564 were PCR tests. The country has had 301,535 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020. 3.75 per cent of tested individuals had Covid-19 in the past 14 days.

3,600 of 4,400 hospital beds for Covid-19 patients in use

Georgian Deputy Health Minister Tamar Gabunia says that 3,600 of 4,400 beds in hospitals for Covid-19 patients are already in use because of the recent increase of new infections.

Georgia has reported 521 new cases of coronavirus, 1,058 recoveries and 18 deaths in the past 24 hours. 11,226 tests have been conducted around the country on the weekend. 3,463 of the 11,226 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 7,763 were PCR tests. The country has had 304,272 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020. 4.03 per cent of tested individuals had Covid-19 in the past 14 days.
