The body of a 23-year-old tourist from the Netherlands who had been missing for 17 days in Georgia’s western city of Kutaisi has been found near the Rioni River on March 28.
The Emergency Management Service has been searching for Sem Wigger since March 10, with rescue teams deployed in search of the man along a 15-kilometer-long section of the Rioni River. Diving groups were also brought in to help in the search.
Siem Wigger went missing on the evening of March 7 in Kutaisi.
On March 8, Wigger’s sister, Sjeel Wigger, wrote on Facebook that before disappearing her brother was seen in a Kutaisi restaurant drinking with his friend.
