Georgia’s external trade turnover amounted to $1.86 billion in January-February 2020, which is an increase of 6.1 per cent compared to the same period of last year, show preliminary data from the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
The value of exports increased 4.5 per cent and reached $526.3 million, while imports increased 6.8 per cent, amounting to $1.33 billion.
The trade deficit of Georgia in January-February 2020 amounted to $802.5 million which is 43.3 per cent of total trade turnover.
In February 2020, the value of exports was $263.6 million, while imports amounted to $703.7 million.
