Export of Georgian wine to China has decreased by six per cent in February 2019 due to coronavirus outbreak, says the deputy Agriculture Minister Khatia Tsilosani.

What’s happening the world over has a certain influence on the export of products and Georgian wine is not an exception. Compared to the [same period of] last year, the export of Georgian wine has already decreased by six per cent [in February]”, she said.

However, Georgian wine export grows to the European and the US markets, said Tsilosani.

Georgian wine export to China was increasing steadily. Last year Georgia exported 7,089,259 bottles of wine which was two per cent increase compared to 2018, announced the Georgian National Wine Agency.
