US Acting Assistant Secretary of State of European and Eurasian Affairs Philip Reeker has congratulated Giorgi Gakharia on his reappointment as Georgian prime minister.
In a phone conversation earlier today PM Gakharia thanked Philip Reeker for the US support to Georgia within the fiscal year of 2021.
During the conversation they spoke of all of the key directions of the strategic partnership between the two countries, including the need for improved cooperation in the area of defence and security.
PM Gakharia thanked the US for the ‘unwavering support’ for Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
He meanwhile expressed his government’s readiness to deepen ‘strategic partnership’ with the US and cooperate with its new administration.
The US National Security Council has also congratulated Giorgi Gakharia and his cabinet of ministers

The parliament of Georgia confirmed Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia and his cabinet of ministers on December 24.
