International leaders have congratulated Giorgi Gakharia on his reappointment as Georgian Prime Minister.
Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia has received letters of congratulation from Ukrainian, Slovak, German, Estonian, Italian and Azerbaijani leaders.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has congratulated Giorgi Gakharia on his reappointment as prime minister and expressed the wish to further deepen the existing partnership between Ukraine and Georgia.

During the phone call, the leaders noted that Georgia and Ukraine have common European aspirations as well as challenges, and stressed the importance of peace and stability for the further development of both countries.
In his letter of congratulations, Slovak Prime Minister Igor Matovic expressed his wish for the further development of the friendly and constructive relations between the countries.
I would like to assure you that the Slovak Republic remains ready to further assist you in reaching the integration ambitions of your country and, at the same time, confirm our unwavering support to Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity”, reads the letter.
In her letter of congratulations German Chancellor Angela Merkel said that Germany will continue its reliable partnership with Georgia for the development of democratic state.
I hope that in these challenging times for Georgia you will continue to search for common ground and compromises aimed at bridging the gap between various political forces”, reads the letter of congratulations of the Prime Minister of Estonia, Jüri Ratas.
Italy’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Luigi Di Maio has also congratulated Giorgi Gakharia and noted in his letter that he is pleased to continue working with him to further strengthen the excellent relations between Italy and Georgia.
I believe that our constantly expanding relations in political, economic and humanitarian areas, our mutually beneficial cooperation will continue to contribute to the welfare of our nations and the strengthening of the strategic partnership between our countries”, writes Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
The parliament of Georgia confirmed Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia and his cabinet of ministers with 85 votes in favour and none against on December 24.
