Georgia reports 1,738 new cases of coronavirus, 1,494 recoveries, 38 deaths

Georgia has reported 1,738 new cases of coronavirus, 1,494  recoveries and 38 deaths in the past 24 hours. 

14,192 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours around the country. 7,074 of the 14,192 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 7,118 were PCR tests. 

Georgia has had 225,893 cases of coronavirus since February. 

210,445 of the 225,893 individuals have recovered, while 2,481 others have died. 

12,941 individuals remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia as of today.

The new 1,738 cases were recorded in: 

  • Tbilisi - 743 cases 
  • Adjara - 115 cases 
  • Imereti - 301 cases 
  • Kvemo Kartli - 123 cases 
  • Shida Kartli - 100 cases 
  • Guria - 46 cases 
  • Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 138 cases 
  • Kakheti - 107 cases 
  • Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 32 cases 
  • Samtskhe-Javakheti - 25 cases 
  • Racha-Lechkhumi, Kvemo Svaneti - 8 cases

5,480 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. 1,001 of the 5,480 patients are in critical condition. 346 of the 1,001 critical patients are on artificial ventilation. 

1,223 Covid-19 patients are in hotels, 458 individuals are in quarantine and 6,238 are at home.

32,670 individuals are in self-isolation.

More than 1,880,000 tests have been conducted in Georgia so far.
