Georgia reports 2,501 new cases of coronavirus, 9,442 tests conducted

Georgia has reported 2,501 new cases of coronavirus, 3,988 recoveries and 36 deaths in the past 24 hours.

9,442 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours. 4,360 of the 9,442 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 5,082 were PCR tests. 

Georgia has had 164,776 cases of coronavirus since February. 

137,499 of the 164,776 individuals have recovered, while 1,540 others have died.

25,911 individuals remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia as of today. 

The new 2,501 cases were recorded in: 

  • Tbilisi - 1,060 cases 
  • Adjara - 337 cases 
  • Imereti - 397 cases 
  • Kvemo Kartli - 175 cases 
  • Shida Kartli - 108 cases 
  • Guria - 32 cases 
  • Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 177 cases 
  • Kakheti - 80 cases 
  • Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 90 cases 
  • Samtskhe-Javakheti - 45 cases 
  • Racha-Lechkhumi, Kvemo Svaneti - 0 case

6,963 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. 1,135 of the 6,963 patients are in critical condition. 417 of the 1,135 critical patients are on artificial ventilation. 

3,744 Covid-19 patients are in hotels, 1,267 individuals are in quarantine and 15,204 are at home.

55,165 individuals are in self-isolation.

More than 1,590,000 tests have been made in Georgia so far.
