Over 170 medical workers test positive for coronavirus

179 medical workers have tested positive for the coronavirus currently, said Head of Georgia’s National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) Amiran Gamkrelidze earlier today.

Georgia has reported 3,893 recoveries, 4,673 new cases and 36 deaths in the past 24 hours.

16,646 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours. 11,400 of the 16,646 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 5,246 were PCR tests.

26,655 individuals remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia as of today.

6,829 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. 1,123 of the 6,829 patients are in critical condition. 425 of the 1,123 critical patients are on artificial ventilation.

3,759 Covid-19 patients are in hotels, 1,186 individuals are in quarantine and 16,067 are at home.

51,709 individuals are in self-isolation.

Georgia has had 169,649 cases of coronavirus since February.

141,392 of the 169,649 individuals have recovered, while 1,576 others have died.

More than 1,610,000 tests have been made in Georgia so far.

Georgia has reported 2,501 new cases of coronavirus, 3,988 recoveries and 36 deaths in the past 24 hours. 9,442 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours. 4,360 of the 9,442 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 5,082 were PCR tests. Georgia has had 164,776 cases of coronavirus since February. 137,499 of the 164,776 individuals have recovered, while 1,540 others have died. Archpriest David Kvlividze died of coronavirus earlier today, while archbishop Spiridon has tested positive for coronavirus. 25,911 individuals remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia as of today.

A total of 4,321 new cases of coronavirus were reported over the last 24 hours in Georgia, while 8,580 PCR and 5,816 rapid tests were conducted. Out of the 4,321 new cases 1,615 were reported in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi.

US gov’t donates 26,000 PCR testing kits to Georgia

The United States government has donated 26,000 PCR testing kits to the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) through USAID, to help Georgian medical professionals manage the coronavirus pandemic.

Georgia has reported 4,734 new cases, 3,895 recoveries and 38 deaths in the past 24 hours. 20,959 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours around the country; 13,166 of the 20,959 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 7,793 were PCR tests. Georgia has had 174,383 cases of coronavirus since February. 145,287 of the 174,383 individuals have recovered, while 1,614 others have died. 27,456 individuals remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia as of today.
