A total of 177,462 people (8.29% of eligible voters) have cast ballots in the second round of Georgian parliamentary elections as of 12 p.m. today.
The Central Election Commission (CEC) spokesperson Natia Ioseliani has announced that the highest number of registered voters (11.4%) have cast ballot at polling station No 21 in the western Georgian constituency of Imereti.
As of now the lowest number of registered voters (6.2%) have cast ballot at Saburtalo constituency.
Meanwhile, voter turnout was 19.41% at 12 p.m. during the first round of parliamentary elections on October 31.
Election run-offs in 17 election constituencies and snap election of Kutaisi mayor are held today as none of the candidates managed to receive at least 51% of votes in the first round of elections on October 31.
Executive Secretary of the ruling Georgian Dream party Irakli Kobakhidze says that an agreement may be reached with opposition parties during the third round of negotiations which is being mediated by foreign ambassadors.

The eight opposition parties who entered parliament following the October 31 parliamentary elections still remain united in that they will not participate in the second round of elections in 17 election constituencies tomorrow and will not take up their mandates in parliament. However, the opposition parties stated earlier today that ‘no rallies’ will be held tomorrow.
Opposition politicians - who have qualified for today’s run offs - call on their supporters not to head to polling stations today claiming the October 31 parliamentary elections were falsified. The opposition has unanimously declared their unwillingness to participate in the second round of the elections even though their names remain on the majoritarian ballot papers per law.
A total of 352,456 people (16.47% of eligible voters) have cast ballots in the second round of Georgian parliamentary elections as of 3 p.m. today. Meanwhile, voter turnout was 36.25% at 3 p.m. during the first round of parliamentary elections on October 31.
A total of 443,969 people (20.74% of eligible voters) have cast ballots in the second round of Georgian parliamentary elections as of 5 p.m. today. One of the ruling party leader Mamuka Mdinaradze has stated that the coronavirus pandemic and opposition’s boycott are among the reasons of the low voter turnout in the second round of the parliamentary elections.
The Georgian Young Lawyers Association (GYLA) and International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy (ISFED) have reported election violations in a number of majoritarian constituencies during the second round of parliamentary elections in Georgia.
