Central Election Commission: 8.29% voter turnout by 12 p.m.

A total of 177,462 people (8.29% of eligible voters) have cast ballots in the second round of Georgian parliamentary elections as of 12 p.m. today. 

The Central Election Commission (CEC) spokesperson Natia Ioseliani has announced that the highest number of registered voters (11.4%) have cast ballot at polling station No 21 in the western Georgian constituency of Imereti.

As of now the lowest number of registered voters (6.2%) have cast ballot at Saburtalo constituency. 

Meanwhile, voter turnout was 19.41% at 12 p.m. during the first round of parliamentary elections on October 31.

Election run-offs in 17 election constituencies and snap election of Kutaisi mayor are held today as none of the candidates managed to receive at least 51% of votes in the first round of elections on October 31.
