A total of 443,969 people (20.74% of eligible voters) have cast ballots in the second round of Georgian parliamentary elections as of 5 p.m. today. 

Below is the detail data per region provided by the Central Election Commission (CEC):

  • Kakheti - 26.7%
  • Shida Kartli - 25.9%
  • Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 24.7%
  • Adjara - 24.1%
  • Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 22.7%
  • Kvemo Kartli - 22.2%
  • Imereti - 21.6%
  • Tbilisi - 17.5%

Meanwhile, voter turnout was 38.16% at 5 p.m. during the first round of parliamentary elections on October 31.

One of the ruling party leader Mamuka Mdinaradze has stated that the coronavirus pandemic and opposition’s boycott are among the reasons of the low voter turnout in the second round of the parliamentary elections.
