Joe Biden defeated incumbent President Donald Trump in November 3 presidential elections. In his address to nation last night Biden claimed he would seek to unify rather than divide the nation.
Meanwhile, a video of Kamala Harris, America's first female vice president-elect, congratulating Biden shortly after CNN projected their win, has gone viral on Twitter.

A new president will take the oath of office on January 20, 2021 after all votes are counted, the states clarify election results and new congress is sworn in.
Donald Trump meanwhile refuses to accept the election results, claiming he has won. Trump has recently tweeted that his observers were not allowed into the counting rooms where‘bad things happened’.
THE OBSERVERS WERE NOT ALLOWED INTO THE COUNTING ROOMS. I WON THE ELECTION, GOT 71,000,000 LEGAL VOTES. BAD THINGS HAPPENED WHICH OUR OBSERVERS WERE NOT ALLOWED TO SEE. NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE. MILLIONS OF MAIL-IN BALLOTS WERE SENT TO PEOPLE WHO NEVER ASKED FOR THEM!

However, his claims about alleged election fraud have been disputed.
