Georgian police have detained a man for illegal possession of drugs upon arrival at the Tbilisi International Airport from Europe.
The individual, identified only as G.G. and born in 1978, was found to be in possession of 34 pills of Subutex, Methadone and Lirika.

Law enforcers have detained one individual in Tetritskaro municipality, Kvemo Kartli region for the illegal purchase and possession of drugs, and seized a large quantity of drugs from the detainee’s car, says the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The Georgian Interior Ministry reported today that the individuals, identified only as Kh.N. and N.G., born in 1985 and 1982, respectively, were found to be in possession of various drugs, including heroin, morphine, methadone and codeine.
Police have detained a Georgian citizen for the purchase and possession of a large quantity of drugs in the Gori Municipality in the Georgian region of Shida Kartli earlier today. Police also seized illegal firearms and ammunition.
Police have detained two Bulgarian citizens for the purchase and possession of 40kg of heroin in the Black Sea region of Adjara. The Bulgarians had smuggled ‘an especially large quantity of drugs’ with the intention of selling them in Europe.
Georgian police have detained an Azerbaijani citizen for drug possession, who intended to import a large amount of methadone in Georgia from Azerbaijan.
Police have detained 10 drug dealers and seized especially large quantities of Heroin during the personal search activities today.
