An employee of Tbilisi City Hall’s municipal inspection has tested positive for coronavirus.
The City Hall press office reported earlier today that the infected individual has been working remotely for over a week.
All of the individuals who had contact with the infected person have gone into self-isolation.
Georgia has reported 179 new cases of the coronavirus earlier today, marking a slight decrease in the number compared to yesterday’s 196 new infections.

Georgia has reported 179 new cases of the coronavirus earlier today, marking a slight decrease in the number compared to yesterday’s 196 new infections. Georgia has had 2,937 cases of the coronavirus since February 26, 2020. 1,422 of the 2,937 patients have recovered, while 19 others have died.As of today 1,496 individuals remain infected with COVID-19 in the country.
The Georgian Interior Ministry has announced that 11 of its employees in various departments have tested positive for the coronavirus. The ministry also noted that all of them were delivered to hospitals for further treatment.
Georgia has reported a record-high, 448 new cases of the coronavirus earlier today. 241 of the 448 new cases were recorded in the country’s western, coastal Adjara region. Georgia has had 6,640 cases of the coronavirus since February 26, 2020.3,419 of the 6,640 patients have recovered, while 39 others have died. As of today 3,182 individuals remain infected with Covid-19 in the country. 35 of the 3,182 individuals are in critical condition.
