Zonal hourly parking will be introduced on Vazha Pshavela and Kazbegi Avenues in Tbilisi, said Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze earlier today.

Kaladze said that information centres will be set up on Vazha Pshavela and Kabegi Avenues where citizens will be able to receive information in detail.

As for the fees, parking will be free for local residents (within a 100-meter distance from their home), people with disabilities, owners of electric vehicles and drivers of category A taxis.

For cars registered in other districts of Tbilisi, parking will be free for the first 15 minutes and for the next 1 hour it will be 1 GEL.

Kaladze urged citizens living on Vazha Pshavela and Kazbegi Avenue to register their cars in the zonal parking system and receive the right to park their cars free of charge if they fall in the three categories listed.

He also noted that zonal hourly parking will be introduced on several streets including Abashidze, Paliashvili, Chavchavadze and their intersections in Vake district.

Zonal hourly parking has already been introduced on Pekini Avenue and nearby streets  in Tbilisi’s central Saburtalo district, on September 10.
