Georgian citizens may be exempted from monetary fines received from Tbilisi’s former parking management company City Park.
The initiative was presented by Georgian Dream lawmaker and Head of the Parliament's Regional Politics Committee Zaza Gabunia at parliament.
He said that the total cost of the fines is 850,000 GEL ($279,458/€249,362) and if the law enters into force thousands of citizens will be exempt from the fines.
“These fines have been accumulated until April, 10 of 2018, so before the termination of contract with the City Park,” said Gabunia.
Gabunia said that the originator of this idea is Mayor of Tbilisi Kakha Kaladze.
