Occupation forces resume ‘borderisation’ near occupied Tskhinvali

The State Security Service of Georgia has reported today that occupying forces have resumed ‘borderisation’ activities along the village of Karapila in Kaspi municipality close to occupied Tskhinvali region.

Calling this 'yet another destructive action’ the security service said it ‘threatens the security environment’ on the ground.

The European Union Monitoring Mission (EUMM) has been informed and its hotline has been activated. Co-chairs of Geneva International Discussions will also be briefed about the situation.

The Georgian State Security Service has denied illegal “borderisation” in the village of Kobi in Khashuri Municipality near occupied Tskhinvali (South Ossetia) region. However, it said, Russian occupation forces continue provocative activities along the villages of Chorchana and Tsagveli.
