A number of foriegn officials have condemned resumption of “borderisation” activities near the village of Takhtisdziri close to the Russia-occupied Tskhinvali (South Ossetia) region.
Lithuanian Foreign Minister Linas Linkevicius noted that for Russia coronavirus is serving “as a smokescreen” for further "borderisation".

The Estonian Foreign Ministry also expressed their concern on Twitter, urging de facto Tskhinvali officials to stop violation of law.

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry also “strongly condemns” installation of artificial barriers along the occupation line near the village of Takhtisdziri.
Such provocative actions ensure the achievement of the far-reaching plans of the Russian Federation to escalate regional tension, deteriorate the security and humanitarian situation on the occupied territory of Tskhinvali region/South Ossetia, Georgia”, The Ministry stated.
The deprivation of the Georgian population on the occupied territory of the right to move freely, to receive proper medical care, to have access to vital agricultural and water resources is an indisputable violation of international law”, it added.
The Polish Foreign Ministry also "strongly condemns" further "borderisation" in Georgia.
Polish MFA strongly condemns erecting of new illegal installations and further borderization between South Ossetia and Georgia by Russia-led military forces. There is no alternative to Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.

The Secretariat of the Organisation for Democracy and Economic Development (GUAM), which unites Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine, also reaffirms its support to independence and sovereignty of Georgia.

British Ambassador to Georgia Justin McKenzie Smith wrote on Twitter that the latest moves by Russia and de facto Tskhinvali officials serve "to destabilise and increase hardship" on the ground.

Yesterday the occupying forces resumed “borderisation” activities in Kareli Municipality in central Georgia, which has been condemned by Tbilisi as "destructive" acts amid the global coronavirus pandemic.
The co-chairs of the Geneva International Discussions as well as the United States and the European Union have also condemned “borderisation” activities near the village of Takhtisdziri.
