Georgian Parliament Speaker Archil Talakvadze’s bodyguard has tested positive for COVID-19, the parliament’s press office reported today.

Although Speaker Talakvadze and his family members tested negative, they have gone into self-isolation. 

Georgia has confirmed seven new cases of coronavirus during the past 24 hours in Georgia increasing the total number of confirmed cases to 1469.

Meanwhile, starting August 12 individuals have to spend 12 days instead of 14 in quarantine or self isolation.
