Flags on all governmental buildings across Georgia are flying at half-staff today as August 25 has been announced a day of mourning in recognition of the 17 people who died during the tragic road accident in Dusheti municipality on August 23.
Georgia has received condolences from foreign officials and states in the wake of the deadly road accident.
Lithuania has expressed its condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Zohrab Mnatsakanyan also tweeted about the tragic accident, wishing a speedy recovery to the injured individuals.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba has also shared his deepest condolences to Georgia.

An investigation into the accident has been launched.Traveler.ge, the tourist company that owned the minibus, has noted today that the company will provide all details to the investigators in order to determine the reason of the tragedy.
