Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia, President Salome Zurabishvili, Parliament Speaker Archil Talakvadze and Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze have sent condolences to the families of those who have died in a tragic road accident in Dusheti municipality earlier today.
The Georgian Interior Ministry reported earlier that 12 people have died and three others have been badly injured in a road accident close to the village of Biso. However, the ministry later said the death toll has increased to 17.
The minibus that fell down a 80 meter rocky slope belonged to a tourist company.
An investigation into the accident has been launched.
