The Georgian Interior Ministry reported earlier today that its eleven employees have tested positive for the coronavirus.
Seven infected individuals, who are employees of the border management and coordination main division of the patrol police department, were infected at Dariali border crossing point.
Three others - a firefighter, security and border police officers - tested positive for the coronavirus in quarantined Mestia municipality, while a security police inspector tested positive in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi.

The Interior Ministry reported that epidemiologists are now actively studying their contacts and that over 20 individuals were already transferred to the quarantine zone.
It also stated that every employee of the Ministry “strictly follows” recommendations of the World Health Organisation as well as the norms defined by the safety protocol when working with citizens.
Targeted testing for coronavirus is carried out on a regular basis to employees of various units of the Ministry in coordination with the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health.
Since February 26, 2020 Georgia has confirmed a total of 1,264 cases of the coronavirus, including 1,054 recoveries and 17 deaths.
