The Georgian Foreign Ministry has dismissed the information spread by Azerbaijani media outlets on the transportation of mortars from Serbia to Armenia via Georgia.

The ministry told the IPN news agency earlier today that it is false information which attempts to overshadow long and friendly ties between Georgia and Azerbaijan.

Georgia and Azerbaijan have a deep and developing strategic partnership and there are long-time friendly relations between our people. Both countries play an important role in the region and we carry out a number of  joint projects of regional and global importance. This is biased information and is aimed at artificially creating problems on relations between the two strategic partners,” says the Georgian Foreign Ministry.

Georgia is concerned by the recent tension between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
