Three detained for membership in the ‘criminal world’, financial extortion

Police have detained three individuals for membership in the ‘criminal underworld’ and financial extortion today.
The Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs says that the detainees, identified only as L.A.,K.D., and M.R., extorted money from self-employed drivers who periodically transferred passengers from Okriba bus station to different locations.
They also threatened on several occasions to physically hurt the drivers.
The crime is punishable from seven to 10 years of imprisonment.
