Georgia reports 5 more coronavirus cases in past 24 hours, 3 recover

Five more people have tested positive for coronavirus in Georgia, increasing the total number of confirmed cases to 951 during the past 24 hours.
Head and Deputy Head of the Georgian National Centre for Disease Control Amiran Gamkrelidze said the three new cases are ‘imported’ as two of the infected individuals are truck drivers.
The other two new cases of infection were reported in Georgia’s Black Sea region of Adjara yesterday. One of them, a 27-year-old man, has travelled to Kazakhstan; another infected individual is a local health worker.
Meanwhile, with three recoveries the number of recovered people has increased to 828, while 108 people remain infected.
Head of the Georgian National Centre for Disease Control Amiran Gamkrelidze said today that two sources of COVID-19 transmission out of the 85 confirmed cases could not be identified. Calling on everyone to stay home, he said “social distancing is the most powerful weapon" against the coronavirus.
Head of the National Disease Control Centre (NCDC) has urged media outlets to refrain from ‘making a political scene’ and ‘inappropriately insulting medics’ regarding the coronavirus situation in the country ‘as the issue is not political.'He stated that Mtavari Arkhi and its founder Nika Gvaramia have made ‘ungrounded accusations’ against the NCDC and responsible state agencies, blaming them of ‘being unprepared for the virus and being intransparent.’
Georgia reports three new cases of the coronavirus increasing the total number of confirmed cases to 946. This total number includes 825 recoveries and 15 deaths since the country confirmed its first COVID-19 case in late-February; 106 people remain infected.

Georgia has reported five new cases of the coronavirus earlier today, bringing the total number of cases to 973. 846 of the 973 patients have recovered, while 15 others have died. As of today 112 people remain infected with the coronavirus in Georgia. 28 Georgian soldiers have been transported from Afghanistan earlier today as they tested positive for the coronavirus.
Georgia has confirmed eight new cases for the new coronavirus on Saturday, with the figure for active cases sitting at 115 and deaths at 15 in the country.
Five new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed by the Georgian government on Sunday, with the total active cases standing at 114.
