A fourteenth individual died in Georgia from coronavirus-related complications last night.
The condition of the 68-year-old man, who suffered from several underlying illnesses including diabetes, had been assessed by doctors as critical.
Director of the First University Clinic Levan Ratiani said that when the man was delivered to his hospital in early April he was in already critical condition.
Ratiani said doctors did everything to save his life, but unfortunately the treatment was unsuccessful due to his underlying illnesses.
The National Bank of Georgia sent condolences to the family and friends of the deceased man who was their employee.
Overall, sixteen employees of the National Bank of Georgia have tested positive for COVID-19 since the outbreak.
