Georgia reports 6 new cases of coronavirus, 127 remain infected with COVID-19

Georgia has reported six new cases of the coronavirus earlier today, bringing the total number of cases to 837.
697 of the 837 patients have recovered, while 13 others have died.
As of today 127 people remain infected with COVID-19 in Georgia.

Deputy Head of Tbilisi Hospital of Infectious Diseases Paata Imnadze says that many in Georgia are no longer afraid of the virus and do not avoid public gatherings.
He said that ‘everything is dependent on us - we will defeat the virus or the virus will defeat us.’
Three health workers have tested positive for COVID-19 in Georgia, increasing the number of total confirmed cases in the country to 831. All of the three infected individuals work at the Central Republican Hospital, its director Levan Gopodze has confirmed.
Every individual with a fever or other respiratory symptoms must consult a doctor, Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia said earlier today.
Georgian company Medifari, which produces facemasks, is negotiating with Italy, the United States, Russia, Austria and Israel to export face masks to these countries.
The Georgian parliament has approved the first reading of bill earlier today which fines individuals by 20 GEL for not wearing face masks in closed public areas.
