The de-facto government of the Russian-occupied Tskhinvali region of Georgia has confirmed one new case of coronavirus, bringing the total to 23 in the region.
RES media outlet says that a student of a Russian military academy, who has recently returned to Tskhinvali, is infected.
Out of the 23 confirmed cases, 15 are students of the Russian military academy.
Among those infected with coronavirus, there is also a military serviceman of the Russian occupation forces. The de-facto government has not yet said where he was infected and whom he had contact with on the territory of the Russian base and beyond.
As of now, 193 people who returned from Russia are in quarantine in the Tskhinvali region.
