The number of people who have recovered from COVID-19 in Georgia has increased to 309 since yesterday. However, nine others have tested positive, increasing the total number of cases to 635.
Head of Tbilisi Infectious Disease Hospital Tengiz Tsertsvadze stated yesterday that 72 of the infected individuals are health workers.
Meanwhile, a medical worker from the Georgian eastern region of Kakheti, who initially tested positive for the coronavirus via a rapid antibody test, has now tested negative on PCR testing.
Tsertsvadze also noted yesterday that the rate of coronavirus infection is currently decreasing in Georgia and says if citizens maintain social distancing there will be very little increase in cases in the coming days.
