Georgian epidemiologists say they are proud of the feedback they have received from the US government’s top infectious disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci, who said Georgia is coping well with the coronavirus pandemic in a letter sent to the Head of Tbilisi Infectious Disease Hospital Tengiz Tsertsvadze.
I am pleased to see that Georgia has controlled the outbreak very well. Stay well", reads the letter of Dr. Fauci which was sent on April 14.

Dr. Fauci is the head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID/NIH) in the US.
A press release published earlier today by Georgia’s Infectious Disease, AIDS and Clinical Immunology Research Center reads that the centre has had many years of fruitful cooperation with Dr. Fauci, and that the NIAID / NIH has ‘greatly contributed’ to the creation and development of a modern approach to HIV/AIDS treatment in Georgia and, in general, to successful US-Georgia cooperation in the biomedical field.
