Coronavirus recoveries surpass new cases in Georgia:
32 recoveries, 1 new case

Just one individual has tested positive for coronavirus within the last 24 hours in Georgia, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 639, while 32 patients have recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries to 349.
For the first time, we can say today that recoveries have surpassed new cases”, said Medical Director of Tbilisi Infectious Disease Hospital Marina Ezugbaia.
She added that the source of the new case of coronavirus infection is unknown.

Meanwhile, Georgia's Russian-occupied Abkhazia region has reported one more case of the virus, bringing the total in the area to 10. The patient is now being treated at Gudauta Infectious Diseases Hospital.
In total, 10 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in occupied Abkhazia. Two patients, including one 95-year-old woman, have already recovered, while one man has died.
An eleventh individual, an 81-year old man, has died of coronavirus in Georgia today at Medalpha clinic in the Black Sea resort town of Batumi. This is the second patient to die of coronavirus at the Medalpha clinic. The first patient was the wife of the man who died today. Both of them were connected to the so-called 'Kobuleti cluster'.
Georgia has reported three new cases of coronavirus earlier today, bringing the total number of cases to 638.317 of the 638 patients have recovered, while 10 others have died. As of today 311 individuals remain infected with COVID-19 in Georgia. Tbilisi, which has been on coronavirus lockdown since April 15, reopened earlier today.All kinds of manufacturing operations have also resumed in Georgia today.
The number of people who have recovered from COVID-19 in Georgia has increased to 309 since yesterday. However, nine others have tested positive, increasing the total number of cases to 635. 72 of the infected individuals are health workers.
Georgia has a total of 626 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 297 recoveries and ten deaths, which the Head of Tbilisi Infectious Disease Hospital Tengiz Tsertsvadze says is ‘one of the best’ results in Europe. Director of the First University Clinic Levan Ratiani also stated yesterday that ‘this entire mess will end soon but we will have to continue living with this virus’.
Georgia has reported five new cases of coronavirus earlier today, bringing the total number of cases to 647. 372 of the 647 patients have recovered, while 11 others have died. As of April 13, 264 individuals remain infected with COVID-19. Almost 32,000 people have been tested for COVID-19 in the country since February 2020. Head of Tbilisi Infectious Disease Hospital Tengiz Tsertsvadze said yesterday that there are almost no new cases of community transmission of COVID-19 in Georgia.
Georgia has reported a 12th death due to COVID-19 earlier today. The 81-year-old woman suffered from several underlying illnesses.
