An eleventh individual, an 81-year old man, has died of coronavirus in Georgia today at Medalpha clinic in the Black Sea resort town of Batumi.
The hospital reports that the patient had several underlying 'severe diseases' and was in 'critical condition'.
This is the second patient to die of coronavirus at the Medalpha clinic. The first patient was the wife of the man who died today. Both of them were connected to the so-called 'Kobuleti cluster'.
So far 13 patients remain at Medalpha clinic of which five are expected to recover 'in near future'.
Meanwhile, Georgia has reported three new cases of coronavirus earlier today, bringing the total number of cases to 638, of which 317 have recovered.
Georgia reported the first case of coronavirus on February 26.
The first patient to die of coronavirus was a 79-year-old woman. She died on April 4 at the First University Clinic. The others included:
