The Spend 4 Seasons in Georgia campaign that went viral in response to the Russian flight ban in late June, has received the national award for its contribution to tourism development.

In particular, the campaign has received the Ministry of Economy and Georgian National Tourism Administration’s award for contribution to tourism development, as well as the Khetsuriani Winery’s special prize, Khetsuriani Trophy, for the best creativity about Georgia.

The authors of the campaign: Mary Jobava, Keta Goletiani, Mariam Gujabidze and Nini Noghashvili wrote on the campaign’s official Facebook page that it has been a "magical evening" for their campaign.

This drives us with a bigger motivation to act bigger and do greater things within the campaign! Exciting news and projects are on their way!" they said.

The campaign, which initially kicked off in social media under the hashtag #SpendYourSummerInGeorgia, aimed to promote Georgia's tourism potential in response to the Russian sanctions, following the anti-occupation protest rallies in Tbilisi.

However, at the end of summer, the authors decided to keep the spirit and continue the campaign during all four seasons as #Spend4SeasonsInGeorgia.
