Georgian Defence Minister Irakli Garibashvili met with the NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and his counterparts from NATO member and partner states yesterday.
Garibashvili joined the NATO Defence Ministerial at the NATO Headquarters held in Brussels on October 24-25.

Minister Garibashvili thanked Jens Stoltenberg for supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia.
He also underscored that the recent visit of the North Atlantic Council (NAC) to Georgia was a demonstration of the alliance’s “firm support” for the country's Euro-Atlantic aspirations.

Following the meeting with Stoltenberg, Minister Garibashvili delivered a speech.
In his speech, Garibashvili said that Georgia, as “a reliable partner” of NATO and its future member, remains committed to its contributions to Resolute Support mission in Afghanistan, the Georgian Defence Ministry reported.

On the sidelines of the ministerial, Irakli Garibashvili held bilateral meetings with his counterparts from Finland, Poland, Germany, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
He also discussed the US-Georgia “strategic partnership” with the United States Ambassador to NATO Kay Bailey Hutchison.
